The cassettes are detachable steel platforms, which containers can be loaded on for transporting. The cassette can handle one 20’, one 40’or one 45’ container if needed. There is also a possibility to double stack containers on the cassette. In that case the cassette can take two 40’ containers or two 20’ containers. One of the advantages of using cassettes is that they act as a “floating” buffer, since containers can be placed on the cassettes with or without being coupled to a vehicle.
