On large ocean-going RoRo designs, such as export vehicle carriers and RoRo container liners, it may be necessary to fit doors in any transverse bulkheads to ensure efficient cargo operations. These can be of various types but side-hinged ones are typical. The doors are tailored to meet the requirements on clear opening dimensions as well as on tightness and type of operation.
